A Message from Maurice Hazan, Creator of QTalk®

Twenty years ago I arrived in America from France and began teaching French in the Midwest.

Having been a student who struggled with traditional learning methods, I began creating versions of techniques I’d used myself in school for my students. Soon fellow teachers were asking for their own sets of my tools and the Symtalk publishing company was born.

I sold Symtalk in 2005 with hopes of taking my method worldwide, and then decided to pursue my dream of opening my own language school. In 2007, I opened Tribeca Language, a language instruction and materials testing center in Manhattan teaching seven different languages to students of all ages, from toddlers to adults. I opened Tribeca Language with one goal in mind: to perform new research and to develop THE MOST EFFECTIVE METHOD and TOOLS for LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION. After these years in development, we know our method, utilizing highly intuitive visual mnemonics, makes learning a second language as uncomplicated and fun as possible. And it works.

And so here I present to you QTalk Publishing LLC, the only source of curriculum to support my innovative QTalk^® Method of language instruction: visual "cues" for your students to think and talk in their new language -- with ease!

Every Q-Card, online game, Smart Board activity and classroom practice tool was created for you – to help you infuse your classroom with the passion and vitality that pointed you towards becoming a world language teacher in the first place.
